You Make Me Happy

Filed in Cards

You make me happy

Hello stampers,

Love, love, love the color combinations on this card.  I CASEd this card from Gretchen Barron and switched up the colors.

I started with a Whisper White cardbase and added a Strawberry Slush (one of my all time favorite colors) layer.  Using the Flower Shop and Mixed Bunch stamp sets inked up one flower from each in Pumpkin Pie and Strawberry Slush and punched out using the Blossom and Pansy punches.  Punched out some petals in Daffodil Delight using the Bird Builder punch.  I also punched out middles for each of the flowers using the Itty Bitty Shapes, 1/4″ Circle, 1/2″ Circle and 1″ Circle punches.  Added candy dots and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Inky hugs,

Clean & Simple Sunday

u make me happy

Hello stampers,

It is an overcast day today here in Colorado with a rain/snow mix.  When I saw this card by Catherine Stockley, it made me happy so I decided to CASE it.

I started with a Crushed Curry cardbase.  Added a layer of Night of Navy.  Added a layer of Whisper White on top of that.  Inked up the watercolor stamp from the Happy Watercolor stamp set in Crushed Curry and stamped it three times on the Whisper White layer.  Inked up the  ‘you make me happy’ stamp from the same stamp set in Night of Navy.  Centered and stamped over two of the watercolor Crushed Curry images.  Punched out three flowers in Night of Navy using the Petite Petals punch.  Using a bone folder, curled up the petals.  Added the Crushed Curry middles using the Itty Bitty punch pack.  Added Night of Navy candy dots to the middle of the Crushed Curry middles.  Adhered the flowers to the Whisper White layer using mini glue dots.

Another Altered March Paper Pumpkin Card

thank you

Hello stampers,

I altered another one of the March Paper Pumpkin cards.  This was inspired by Mary Fish.  I started with a Coastal Cabana cardbase.  Added a strip of Smokey Slate.  Cut the front panel off one of the cards and then cut it further on an angle to fit on the front cardbase.  Used Tangerine Tango for the banners and layered across the piece of the cut out card front.  Added some Whisper White Baker’s Twine.  Adhere a punched circle of Coastal Cabana as the background for the ‘thank you.’  Adhered the entire piece to the front cardbase.  Added the small gold glitter dots that came with the kit.

Clean & Simple Sunday

 carbs schmarbs

 Hello stampers,

It’s another Clean & Simple Sunday.  Today’s card was inspired by Jen Nelson,  On a piece of 4″ X 5-1/4″ Whisper White I inked up one of the Gorgeous Grunge stamps in Primrose Petals and the other stamp in Raspberry Ripple once and then stamped again without reinking.  Inked up the ‘carbs, schmarbs! {EAT THE CAKE}’ stamp with Jet Black Staz-On from the Yippee-Skippee! stamp set.

Clean & Simple Sunday

congrats 1

Hello stampers,

Today’s card comes from this month’s Paper Pumpkin.  The striped cardbase in shades of Coastal Cabana, congrats and gold dots are all part of the kit.  I modified it slightly by added the two banners – one in Calypso Coral and the other in Crushed Curry.

I will be back next Sunday with another post.

Clean & Simple Sunday

cheer up

Hello stampers,

This card would cheer anyone up with the bright colors.  I utilized two of my favorite products from the Spring Mini Catalog.  The Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper and Geometrical Stamp Set.  I started with a Crushed Curry cardbase.  Added the Kaleidoscope DSP layer.  Inked up the two different triangles in Strawberry Slush and Bermuda Bay.  Stamped on a scrap piece of Whisper White and punched out with the Triangle Punch.  Stamped the greeting in Smoky Slate on a scrap piece of  Whisper White and rounded the corners.  Cut a piece of Strawberry Slush 3/8″ Ruffled Stretch Trim and adhered it with a piece of Sticky strip.  Added dimensionals to the stamped greeting and punched out triangles and layered them on the card front.

Another Golden Thank You

Filed in Cards

thank you washi tape

Hello stampers,

Here’s another golden thank you card.  I started with a Basic Black cardbase.  Added a layer of gold foil.  Before I attached the Basic Black layer on top, I inked up the thank you from the Happy Watercolor stamp set in versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder.  I then added the Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape and pulled some of the sequins off of the Gold Sequin Trim and attached them with glue dots.

Golden Thank You

Filed in Cards

thank you

Hello stampers,

It is really hard to take a picture of a card that has a shiny front without getting a background of you and/or you and the camera.

I started out with a Basic Black cardbase.  Stamped the image from the Happy Watercolor stamp set in Versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder on a piece of gold foil.  Added the Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape.  Put a line of sticky strip down to adhere the Gold Sequin Trim.  Pretty simple.

Be creative and get inky today!

Inky hugs,

Jan
